This book examined rainfall indices such as onset, cessation, length of the rainy season, annual rainfall, seasonality and anomaly in southwestern Nigeria. The book revealed how these rainfall indices have been affected by the issue of climate change which is one of the major challenges facing Nigeria. It revealed that climate change has led to early onset of rainy with the mean being 6th of march, late cessation with mean of 4th November and an increase in the length of the rainy seasons. Increase in rainfall has led to incidences of flooding in many communities that are along the river channels in the area. The fluctuations in the rainfall indices have also affected agricultural activities in the area. it is recommended that time observation and communication of rainfall indices to residents of the area could help them prepare of rainfall related hazards in the future
