Работа основана на модуляции нанолиганда основания Шиффа с помощью фармакологически важных соединений (индолин-2,3-диона) и анилина. Проведено комплексирование приготовленного основания Шиффа и (1,10-фенантролина или TMEDA) в качестве смешанного лиганда с различными ионами транс-металлов. Этот нанолиганд и его нанобинарные и смешанные металлические комплексы демонстрируют две новые особенности (1) эффективный хелатор ионов металлов и (2) он может играть ключевую роль в качестве антимикробного и противоракового агента.
