Synopsis "31 Days of Contemplation"

Contemplation is attained in stillness and a meaningful connection to our deeper inner self. To attain stillness one has to first make a choice to decide to stop and focus inward, instead of focusing on the constant bid for our attention by social media and phone notifications. When we develop a daily practice to stop and contemplate, the spiritual wisdom of the inner self has a chance to heal our consciousness. This healing happens by creating inner space to have profound experiences of reflection, peace and clarity. Contemplation ultimately brings us back to the spiritual journey we are on, whether we recognize this or not. Developing a contemplative practice develops wisdom, insight and meaningful perspectives on our past and present. Contemplation can be a tool to help us process our grief and trauma as we access more understanding, meaning and the ability to transform our lives through daily practice. The author who wrote this book contemplated 31 different things, or maybe it was just one thing with 31 different sides. The author has a M.A. in Counseling Psychology and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Many of the things contemplated in this book were related to experiences in the author's personal life, and the authors experience working from the therapist chair, trying to help hold other's feelings of grief, suicide, panic, trauma, heart break and shame. There are different paths to contemplation. Sometimes contemplation is found in reading a book, and sometimes you are sitting on a train watching everything go by and begin to be filled with possibility. This book's aim was to give a safe setting and the ideas you need to anchor you as you look within the self. For those interested in finding a spiritual life, contemplation has been there waiting for you all along.
