Synopsis "A Gift From The Stars"
Five thousand yeas in the future we humans have evolved technologically and emotionally to become a peaceful species. Finally throwing off the shackles of conflict, war is now a long distant memory. Interstellar travel is now a reality thanks to another surprising evolutionary twist. Our Primal Urge drives us on to explore ever more of the Milky Way. Search and discover missions have discovered thousands of habitable planets, but the one thing they have never discovered is - another intelligent species. Well, at least not one that has survived long enough to tell its tale, the ravages of nuclear holocaust tragically telling a story we managed to avoid. The Kailons and Langans are in bitter conflict and on the brink of all out war. Climate change from an asteroid strike decades before has caused severe and worsening food shortages. Both races have developed space travel and are busy colonising their neighbouring planet Angoll. Angoll is peopled by a simple peace-loving race, gradually being enslaved and subdued by the Kailons. The discovery of these three races is a shock and surprise. However, once we realise the state of the various conflicts we are faced with the choice of whether to be an impartial observer, or somehow intervene to change the course of alien history.
