Synopsis "A Heart For The Broken: A Call To Take God's Love To The Streets"

This story started in 1993 when God began to radically change my heart for the homeless guys hanging out on the sidewalks near where I worked in Oakland, California. He began to shift my judgmental and critical perception of them to seeing them as He did: precious children that He loved unconditionally and beyond measure. That was the beginning of a long journey with the Lord while He prepared and equipped me to start ministering on the streets in Los Angeles' Skid Row in 2012. While this book is about that journey, it's also about the destination. First it looks at the people on the streets and their brokenness, then it talks about Gods' heart for those who have lost all hope and believe that He no longer cares about them. And, finally, it appeals to the reader to take a bold step and respond to God's "follow Me" call on their lives to go to the streets and take His love to the broken and ignored.
