Synopsis "A Way Out"
Malinda's presumed salvation took a hit during her time at NYU as college life began to drastically reshape her. The cautionary teachings of her Christian parents regarding indulgent behaviors were pushed aside. Initially considering her internship at the Rare Beauty Modeling Agency as the perfect opportunity, Malinda soon realized it was more than just a modeling agency. Attempting to extricate herself from the brutal business, she was met with a chilling threat-her family and fiancé would face harm if she dared to leave again. Reluctantly, she allowed the agency's owner, Jackson (Blue) Blewett, to lead her on a harrowing journey straight to the gates of hell. In the opulent house hallway, Malinda found herself silently uttering a prayer beneath her breath, seeking divine intervention. "Lord, if you rescue me from this, I promise to serve you all the days of my life. Please, Lord, I need your help." As the distant footsteps approached, growing louder, she hastily wiped away the tears that had trickled down her face. All Malinda yearned for was to live a righteous life. However, she now found herself playing hostess to a gathering of pimps, players, and politicians.
