Synopsis "Accountability"
ACCOUNTABILITY Roseanne Eckroyd is an evil woman who runs a house of prostitution and believes she is accountable to nobody. When she gets pregnant, she gives birth because she's afraid to have the unwanted child-which she considers a cancer-cut from her body. She allows the girl to live because it amuses her to watch little Ruth struggle. Eventually, a customer offers to buy the child, now a young teen, for his son's birthday party, and Roseanne realizes her genius in keeping the brat. She repeatedly sells her daughter, gleefully raking in the profits until another customer buys the child outright. Having no idea that the life of slavery she envisions is actually a rescue mission, Roseanne takes his money and hands over her child. Years have passed, and Ruth's rescuer has passed away.
