Synopsis "Against The World"
"Against the World," tells the story of David Hartfield, a father and divorcee who's lost custody of his daughter, Bella, to his ex-wife who devotes no time to her as she's preoccupied with her wealthy lifestyle. David tries to give Bella a good life, but is only able to see her every other weekend. After an incident, David loses all custody and falls into a deep depression as Bella is ripped from his life. Refusing to allow her to grow up unloved, David goes and gets his daughter without his ex-wife's knowing and drives as far away as possible. Throughout the book, the two are fleeing from police and attempting to survive without a home or money as they try to find a way to safety and David tries to find a way to give his daughter the life that she's always wanted.
