Fiske was born on September 28, 1924 in the small townof Upton, Massachusetts.After serving as a Naval officer in the South Pacific duringWorld War II, he graduated from Brown University before enteringthe business world. As a salesman at GE, he quickly ascended theranks to become a manager of numerous businesses. He then wenton to create the international automotive division at ITT under CEOHarold Geneen. After a decade, he joined General Dynamics, wherehe assumed the roles of Executive Vice President and a member of theboard of directors. He served as the Under Secretary of Energy andthe Deputy Secretary of Commerce in the Reagan Administration, and then went on to become an extremely successful entrepreneur.This is his story
