Alex is one of the characters from the series award-winning, introductory book, Ellie Rae Discovers Eight Ways to be SMART. Alex is Music SMART and loves to sing, play instruments, and listen to many different types of music. In this rhyming, early childhood story, we see Alex using her Music SMART abilities to enhance some of her other multiple intelligences or SMART parts. As children learn about their SMART parts, they are fortified in their sense of self by better understanding their strengths, valuing the strengths of others, and discovering how to work together to grow and learn.
