Synopsis "Allelopathic Potential of Glycosmis pentaphylla and Citrus maxima"
Allelopathy is an inevitable process as it helps in weed management. The present book deals with allelopathic potential of two very promising plant of the Rutaceae family viz, Glycosmis pentaphylla and Citrus maxima. The test crops used for the study are Vigna mungo and Macrotyloma uniflorum. The Rutaceae family being rich in essential and aromatic olis, has helped the test crops to grow at a faster rate. Various germination parameters are used in this study. The results of the study revealed a potent allelopathic potential of Citrus maxima than Glycosmis pentaphylla as the former contains more volatile oils.
