Synopsis "An Evaluation of Humanitarian Water Projects in Juba South Sudan"
The book outlines the impacts that humanitarian organization's water projects have had in South Sudan. South Sudan was hit with Civil war that left most of the water infrastructures either completely destroyed or overstretched through the movement of internally displaced persons. The book focuses on impacts on women empowerment, education of school going girls and waterborne diseases prevalence in children under the age of five. The study employs a number of techniques to collect and analyze data including; household interviews, focused group discussions, key informant interviews and observation. The study was done in an area adjusted to the White Nile in Juba called Gumbo.
