L'anémie mégaloblastique se développe davantage chez les hommes (57,4 %) que chez les femmes (42,5 %).Le groupe d'âge le plus touché est celui des 31-70 ans, tant chez les hommes que chez les femmes.Sur un total de 50 cas, 31 cas présentaient une carence en vitamine B12. L'étude ci-dessus permet de conclure que l'incidence totale de la carence en vitamine B12 est de 62 %.Les résultats suggèrent qu'avec un taux d'hémoglobine réduit ou anormal, le taux de MCV est élevé.Dans la présente étude, 62 % des patients présentent une carence en vitamine B12 et 80 % des patients ont un taux de MCV élevé.
