The Gaelic translation of Anne of Green Gables is imbued with the charm and appeal of the English original, while also recognizing Maritime Canadian Gaelic culture. The translation is titled Anna Ruadh, which means "Red-haired Anne," a typical Gaelic nickname for a red-haired girl named Anne.
