She and her late husband had started a foundation that reached out to victims of domestic abuse and violence. They helped these victims get away and relocate if necessary from their abusers. They also helped these families with their monetary needs until the families could function on their own. Anna had been closely guarding her secret that was shared only with her work partner after Dan her husband had been a victim of an unsolved homicide. Anna needs desperately to protect her secret as well as find out who is responsible for the death of her husband. Richard feels that he is just the man for the job and is determined to solve the case.
