Synopsis "Anti-Jam GPS Receiver: A Survey on Architecture"
A considerable amount of research has been done on the GPS signal acquisition process and various RFI mitigation techniques. GPS signal acquisition has been studied for feasibility in hardware and software implementation, weak signal environments and fine frequency estimation. RFI mitigation at various stages in a GPS receiver from the GPS antenna to the navigation solution has been studied extensively except for the acquisition process. RFI mitigation in the acquisition process has not been the focus of study mainly because of the few parameters controlling the acquisition process. This research studies the effect of the RFI signals in the acquisition process of a GPS receiver.
