The dissemination of information about exposure to asbestos, to the worker, to society and to the environment is an important way to avoid the expansion of diseases and deaths caused by this fiber. Therefore, this book intends to unveil the reality of asbestos in Brazil, emphasizing the environmental liabilities generated and the impact on health. And, finally, the fourth chapter presents some final considerations and notes. It is hoped that this study will make clear the harmful effects of asbestos.
