Der hiermit vorgelegte Band enthalt die Mehrzahl der Vortrage, die im August 1969 auf dem V.lnternationalen Symposium fiber Neurosekretion im Anato- mischen Institut der Universitat Kiel unter reger internationaler Beteiligung gehalten wurden. Folgende Hauptthemen wurden behandelt: 1. Neurosecretion in invertebrates, 2. Adrenergic neurons, 3. Mechanisms of release of neurohypophyseal materials, 4. Hypothalamic control of anterior pituitary. Weitere Kurzvortrage waren verschiedenen Problemen der Neurosekretion gewidmet. Das Internationale Komitee fUr die Vorbereitung des Symposiums, dem auBer den Unterzeichneten die Herren Professoren H. S. HELLER (Bristol), G. STERBA (Leipzig) und FR.
