Assassinating Pope Francis is the fourth book in the Sister Mary Bad Habit Adventure series. Sister Mary's has a vision of two powerful beasts attacking the Catholic Church. She identifies one as the United States government. The other is a group of ultra-conservative Catholic Cardinals, the Salvatores Ecclesiae (Saviors of the Church) who want to replace Pope Francis with a Pope that will take the Church back to the Council of Trent. At the same time the U.S. government imposes regulations to tax both the Church's property and its donations. Sister Mary works with Pope Francis to stop this attempt to destroy the Catholic Church in America. Through her quick thinking Sister Mary figures out the conspirators' plans to assassinate the Pope.
