Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 2,5, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (Institut für Neuere Deutsche Literatur), Veranstaltung: Exilliteratur, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: 1937, in dem Jahr, in dem der Roman "Das Siebte Kreuz" spielt, befand sich die Autorin Anna Seghers schon lange nicht mehr in Deutschland. Bereits in den ersten Monaten des Jahres 1933 hatte sie ihr Heimatland verlassen müssen und lebte seitdem im französischen Exil. Dort verfasste sie auch "Das siebte Kreuz". Gerade der Umstand, das Seghers im Exil lebte und schrieb, wirft die Fragen auf, wie es der Autorin fernab von Deutschland gelang, an Informationen für ihren Roman zu gelangen und so detailliert über die Situation in Nazideutschland zu berichten. Der Frage nach dem Verhältnis von Wahrheit und Fiktion im "Siebten Kreuz" will die vorliegende Arbeit nachgehen.
