24-year-old French explorer and navigator Stéphane St. Michel embarks on a journey that takes him across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, where he stumbles upon an island ruled by a king and queen. There, he discovers a whole new world and falls in love with the youngest princess of the tribe, 16-year-old Moana. After claiming the lovely island for France, Stéphane continues sailing west, where he visits the Far East and other French colonies of the Old World. Throughout his voyage, Stéphane encounters dangerous storms, attacks by British pirates, and losses of two men. His ultimate goal of the voyage turns out to be a circumnavigation of the globe.
