Synopsis "Birds of a Feather"

Chuck Hansen and Max Stromberg are two former NYC detectives who now work as private eyes. Based on Long Island, they do specialty work. They kill people. Yet they are not average contract hit men. They are highly particular about the cases they take on, and they like to think of themselves as the good guys, avenging angels. The people they kill have to be very bad and deserve to die. Fat chance in a profession filled with cutthroats. Fat chance when you do a hit on someone who has ties to the mob. They are soon put to task by the Mafia, not so much for the hit itself, but for the identity of the person who ordered it. Hansen and Stromberg frankly don't know, since everything was arranged through a middle man. Irony of ironies, our two anti-heroes find themselves forced to solve a crime that they themselves have committed. The trail soon has them crossing paths and, much to their displeasure, joining forces with ''bizarre'' members of the intelligence community.
