Synopsis "Blessed: sequel to www.horrorscope.death"
Derek Joseph's '59 Bonneville convertible, with the top still down in a driving rain storm, is burnt beyond recognition when the house he is standing in front of blows up and relocates in pieces across the neighborhood. And the cops think he may have been behind the explosion. Broke, hurting and now occupying a hospital bed with a cop stationed outside the door and the FBI wanting to interrogate him, Derek keeps whispering to himself, "I am truly blessed!" After meeting with the FBI the ex-Army Ranger agrees to help them attempt to thwart a potential international crisis. Enter Teri Davis, the rookie agent who was the heroine of the earlier P.A. Morris thriller, www.horrorscope.death.org. With neither person relishing the assignment of having to live together and act like they really like each other, the action and the fun begins. They need to find the scientist who can help them unravel the mystery behind the international threat; capture one of the Yakuza who is hunting them down, while avoiding the others; tolerate the interference of Frank Murdock, the pompous White House chief of staff; and not kill each other in the process as they bicker their way to the conclusion. Derek joins an elite Seal team with a mission to find out what the Yakuza are hiding deep in the mines of the abandoned Hashima Island, better known as Ghost Island. If the Yakuza are successful, this island off of the coast of Japan will soon be known as Death Island. Meanwhile, back home, Teri is left alone with her Glock to try and stay alive. Finally, thousands of miles apart, Teri and Derek both wonder if their contentious relationship has crossed the emotional line between perceived unfriendliness and really caring for each other. More importantly, realizing that not all stories have a happy ending, was it too late to find out if they are truly BLESSED?
