We would like to bring Marcellus Wiley aboard as co-writer as we are seeking someone with NFL experience.BLITZ is the story of thirteen year old JOB LAMB, an African-American preteen who recently moved to Detroit when his father, a NFL quarterback, was traded to the Lions. After years of bouncing from city-to-city, Job finally feels at home and in agape love with DISNEY LANDOVER, daughter of an All-Pro Lion's lineman, but too soon his father is once again on the trading block. Job has an auspicious encounter with an enigmatic stranger and finds the advantage he needs to stay in the form of a mysterious PlayStation that seemingly controls the NFL games. Too soon, Job discovers the consequences of his manipulations and questions whether he is controlling the game or is the game controlling him.A story told in the spirit of A Wrinkle in Time is bold and compelling for people who recognize the need for social justice, family, friendship, and love. Recounted in Detroit, BLITZ daringly confronts homophobia, classism, sexism, bigotry, prejudice, and racism that African-Americans, women, the LGBTQ community, and the poor face in modern day America.
