A true story of an ordinary Anglo-Indian girl, Gabriela, with an extraordinary faith in God.Her life is one big emotional roller coaster. Right from the tender age of five, she is confronted with one challenge after the other-from a broken home, to being abandoned by the father of her son, forced by circumstances to become a single mother in a foreign country, and having to battle with bipolar disorder. As her life unfolds she learns that all the major changes, the seemingly impossible challenges, the undeserved criticism, the false accusations, and senseless loss are all aspects of God's refining fire. She often posed the question "why me?". Where is God in all of this? He is the one constant in her life and she sees His hand sustaining her in every situation, even when her faith falters. Like the fragile butterfly, the struggles that we face are given with a purpose. If the Almighty allowed us to breeze through life without any obstacles, it would cripple us and we would not be able to fulfill the purpose that he has planned for our lives. His refining fire empowers us to become whom he intended us to be.
