Synopsis "Cat Man Deux: A Mo the Shelter Cat Mystery"
Shrieking and howling in a makeshift cage, Mo arrived unceremoniously with police escort at Cats Pause Feline Shelter. In the quiet wine-country township of Seven Oaks, Oregon, where drama is beating a parking ticket or recovering a tipped glass of pinot noir, Mo's 'mum' has been murdered! Suddenly orphaned and facing life as a shelter cat, Mo enlists new-found shelter feline friends, Phillip, Edward and Diana, to help find mum's killer. Mo, though, must keep a secret she feels will bring harm to her new friends, so she teams up with shelter director, Kate Ferguson, to uncover who did the deed. Kate and Mo investigate why a group of California investors is secretly trying to acquire valuable vineyard land. Through links with the community and the local police, they discover the intent of the buy-up is to rezone the farmlands to develop mega-housing, and destroy the delicate ecosystem and wine producing promise of the Jory Hills AVA. A surprise discovery leads them down a path of intrigue and betrayal; by exposing the plot to ruin the land, they expose the murderer.
