One woman asked me to tell her story, therefore I'm going to put it down on paper with the harshness and the cruelty that the events of life bring us, but also as a testament to the radiance of this woman's transformation. Her wish, which has become mine, is to help every person who has experienced violence of this kind. The words of a soul revealing itself in this book: 'I didn't want to share this episode of my life, it has haunted me for so many years. Then, I remembered... I remembered the ray of hope, which may be tiny but is so precious, that the women, who have dared to write or speak in public, gave me. I want my testimony to help others become aware that reconstruction after the pains of the body, mind and soul is possible and that there is a light at the end of the long tunnel where one can remain imprisoned. I went searching for the key to the way out of this hell deep down inside of me, and I evacuated all the pain in my chest diluted with the filth tattooed on my skin and my dreams. I thank life for bringing me out of the darkness that I'd known since an early age, and for flooding me with its light.'
