Synopsis "Church as Family Post 25 Years After the First African Synod"

The First African Synod which took place in Rome in 1994 opted for the image of the Church in Africa as Family. 25 years down the line, the search for the best way to realize this call of the bishops continues. This book is a contribution to this effect. It evaluates the contributions from various sectors and settles on the fact that, while a lot has been done so far, the journey is ongoing. This endeavor must continue in two areas: structurally and by principle (family spirit - as nexus to the entire effort). Given the challenges which arise with time, this call for a church in a mode of a family (precisely, African family), seems to be the way forward, not only for the church in Africa, but for the entire church worldwide.
