Synopsis "Crossing the Williamsburg Bridge, Second Edition: Memories of an American Youngster Growing up with Chassidic Survivors of the Holocaust. Enhanced wit"
This book consists of my childhood experiences living in a cloistered Jewish area, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. The community's population was European Jewish survivors of the Holocaust. My memories relate to my interactions with the children and teachers of the heavily Orthodox Chassidic community. What I learned in Williamsburg is that it is indeed possible to replant and rebuild traditional Judaism in America.
