We must hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. He will speak through vessels that are dedicated to the cause of Christ. The lack of the church hearing from the Spirit comes, in part, from the silent voices of God's servants. We must hear what the Spirit is saying and convey the message to God's people and to the world. The songwriter said, "Stand up, stand up for Jesus, you soldiers of the Cross." We need soldiers again in God's army who are not afraid to lift their voices and to use the Sword of the Spirit to preach this everlasting Gospel. The purpose of this book is both to speak out in today's wilderness and, also, to encourage believers to draw closer to God. In some of the chapters, the reader is being encouraged to become that voice that cries out. In other chapters, the author himself speaks out and gives warnings concerning the day in which we live. Also, the message is one of encouragement to help us on our journey. May "Crying Out in Today's Wilderness" be both uplifting and challenging is our prayer.
