Synopsis "Design and analysis of Microstrip Antennas"
Microstrip antennas in their conventional structure are made of printed metallic patch handled by a grounded substrate. They offer attractive features like thin profile, light weight, low cost, easy manufacturing and conformability. With all these advantages which make these antennas suitable for many applications, they are limited because of their small bandwidth, low gain, low efficiency, and extraneous radiation from feeds, junctions and surface waves .Several techniques have been developed to overcome these limitations. The main focus of this work is comparative simulated and analyzed, designs of rectangular patch antenna, slot antenna, Sierpinski carpet Fractal, Sierpinski Diamond Fractal Antenna for Multi-Band Applications to be used in Wireless applications in the ISM frequency bands.
