Out in Chicago, the Miller family has taken health, happiness and peace of mind for granted for the last time. Jonetta Miller, the matriarch of the clan, is alive after suffering a stroke at her sister's funeral, Much to her dismay, she is unable to assist her family to heal and move forward by embracing a new family member, her long lost son, Dr. Bishon Franklyn. Norman Miller sees how his absence as a father has affected his daughters over the years. Although a little late in life, he has stepped up to take care of Jonetta and guide his daughters towards acceptance, self-love, and owning their decisions. Phyllis takes the role of big sister seriously and opens her home and heart to those who need it.
