Synopsis "Earth Hangs Heavy Beneath my Feet"
A young man seeking love, money, and adventure instead finds a spiritual awakening. This is the story of Max Wiez, an artist-philosopher with insatiable wanderlust, and an intense disdain for anything superficial and dishonest. Frustrated with living in a cold technocracy, he leaves his country after being blacklisted from the teaching profession, and on a whim, changes his identity. Ironically he finds himself working as a scam artist in Prague, Manila, Bangkok, and Spain. Max's life becomes a Kafkaesque - and yet often humorous journey where notions about synchronicity and chance, beauty, truth, love, and the supernatural are examined, challenged, and turned on their head.
