Synopsis "Effect of Salicylic Acid and Humic Acid on Fruiting & Yield of Mango: Effect of Chemicals on Flowering, Fruiting, Yield and Quality of Mango (Mangifera Indica l. ) cv. Kesar"

Flowering is the first of several events that set the stage for mango (Mangifera indica L.) production each year. The period of differentiation is reported to be October- December, depending upon the local climatic conditions. Both flowering and fruit set in mango are crucial events which greatly influence the ultimate yield. Salicylic acid considered as a growth regulators due to its stimulatory effect on growth, flowering and yield in plants. It has also been found out that salicylic acid induces SAR (Systemic Acquired Resistance) in plants. Humic acids (HAs) are the main fractions of humic substances (HS) and the most active components of soil and compost organic matter. Some plant hormone-like substances also seems to be present in the humic substances, thus exerting a possible stimulating effect on growth.
