Birds scattered and others went silent. The priests heard the screams in their heads as much as with their ears and they did not stop, but started to run even harder. Whatever had made that sound was very very dark and evil. The ground began to climb upward as they reached the north end of the lake. The plan had been to turn west at that point and follow the shore line to the Valreen side, but before they did, another scan hit them. The screams came from various directions and one of them from the west, near the northern most point of the lake where they were headed. They were so very close to the possible aid of the magics of Oirion's ancient bloodline, but they knew they had no chance to reach it now. "Norwood it is," Gallus gasped, a bit panicked.
