في قرية هادئة عاش حامد الصبي الطيِّب القلب، الذي كان حريصًا على مساعدة والده الفقير، فقام بصُنع المثلَّجات، وباعَها لأطفال الحيّ.وكان كل صباح يحمل حافظة المثلَّجات إلى الشارع، حيث تجمّع الأطفال، فتوافَد الكثير مِن الصغار والكبار، وكان مِن بين الأطفال طفلان يتيمان، فأحسن حامد إليهما.استمرَّ حامد في بيع المثلَّجات، والإحسان إلى الطفلين، ازدَادت أرباحه يومًا بعد يوم، وكبِرَت تجارته.وبعد مرور سنوات أصبح حامد يدير محلَّات عديدة في القرية وخارجها، وهكذا وجد حامد بمعروفه وإحسانه إلى والديه وأهله والفقراء والأيتام سعادة وبركة في حياته.
