Synopsis "English using wAw: Writing Arabic Way"
English Using wAw is a companion Book to write English texts using the Universal Phonetic Alphabet (APU) which consists of 3 compatible phonetic alphabets: 1- Taham alphabet, using reversed Geometric letters to write from left to right. 2- wAw alphabet, using Latin letters redefined in order to match Taham alphabet. 3- brAy alphabet, using Braille letters redefined in order to match Taham alphabet. The Geometric method of writing (Taha) is using geometric Arabic letters to write from right to left. Geometric letters consists of simplified and enhanced version of Arabic letters which can accomodate other languges. In its first version, UPA can be used to write and read accurately Arabic, English and French texts by sighted or blind persons. In UPA words consists of consonant letters (sounds) and vowels (movements). Every letter has a unique role to play. A vowel is simply a movement for launching the sound of a consonant letter from the mouth in a certain direction and within a certain period of time before this sound vanishes in the ear. There are 5 short vowels and 5 long vowels common in Arabic, English and French in addition to 4 oral and 4 nasal French vowels. Currently, there are 18 vowels and 32 consonant letters in UPA which can be increased to cater for other languages. You can shift from Geometric letters to Latin letters or to Braille letters by a press of button in order to change the font. The ultimate objective of UPA is to write and read accurately and with minimal effort by using a set of simplified letters and an easy writing system similar to Arabic numerals and decimal Arabic system used by every single person on this world. Do not forget that the Arabic numerals ( Les Chiffres Arabes) are from the matrix of the Arabic letters ( Les Harffes Arabes).
