Synopsis "Fantasy & Music"

"Radio Rhythm" Book and lyrics by Angela Randazzo. Music by Michael Deak, music and arrangements by Kurt Fries. Set in the nostalgic 1940's, this play within a play is romantic, patriotic and comedic. The actors are not as optimist as the characters they play in the lighthearted musical, Radio Rhythm. The backstage drama includes a married couple who have lost their careers and romance, an alcoholic, an aging ex-vaudeville performer and two youths with big dreams but doubts about their talent. The actors learn from their spunky counterparts that the show must go on...and adversity so must they. "Rock n' Rockets" Book and lyrics by Angela Randazzo Too-cool Tony and hot-tempered Irene are teenagers in the 1950's. Pursued by a rival gang, Tony's pride, a '57 Chevy, skids off a bridge and sinks. Frozen inside an iceberg for five centuries, Tony and Irene awake on Space Station Alpha ruled by Andromeda, a cunning teenager, fighting her nerdy brother and Sylvia, a feisty teenager on the opposing space station for power. Conflict arises as loyalties and lovers switch partners. The future of Earth hangs as the teenagers rock n' roll through outer space. "Q" (QUETZALCOATL, GOD OF AIR) British sailors, handsome Windy and comical Horatio, shipwreck on the shores of the Aztec Empire. Romance blossoms when Windy meets a beautiful Aztec princess. The world ruled by Montezuma explodes into fire and fury when Spanish forces, commanded by the clever and vicious Cortes, invades the land. This story has all the elements of great opera - love, jealousy, betrayal and bigger than life characters.
