The concept behind putting this book together came from philosophy that the U.S. Marines use as a code of conduct were they embody a life of integrity, loyalty, honor, selflessness and courage are a way they live their lives. I embraced their creed and fell in love with the unity and brotherhood they live by every day. In my Yoga teacher training I learned about the Yoga Sutras which to me they represent guidelines for living a meaningful and purposeful life. Before my experience in my Yoga teacher training, I had never encountered living a life with purpose and awareness. so I took this opportunity to create a journal that would trigger a response using questions, inspirational quotes and my personal thoughts that helped me evolve in becoming aware and present through meditation and journaling. Throughout this book I left space for you to be able to reflect on each quote and statement and allow your own ideas to develop.
