Gabapentin is a bitter drug used for treatment of epilepsy. It is now also used for neuronal pain. This book explain about masking of gabapentin bitterness using cyclodextrin. First of all, drug profile and excipient profile was studied. All necessary evaluation and interpretation about purity, characterization was done using FTIR and other organoleptic properties. Various batches were formed using various concentration of polymer. Finally B-cyclodextrin was found suitable polymer for masking the bitterness with desired pharmacological activity and drug release.
