When Juliette Jones, a jaded, middle-manager, decides to make some changes in her life, she comes to the conclusion it requires her to fly to the other side of the planet.From the wide-open spaces of Australia, she finds herself running the New York marathon, then meeting Carlos Morales, a sophisticated, Upper East Side, Argentinean. The Opera, a seduction to the Tango and tragedy at home, soon leads her deeper into his world.We retrace his journey with its roots in the "Dirty War" of Argentina, alongside a real-time sailing passage from Puerto Rico to New York, undertaken by Jules, Carlos and young Englishman, Jack Watts.Out of her comfort zone on a yacht in the Atlantic Ocean, she faces a test of character and strength which helps her decide whether she should return to Australia, the "Lucky Country", or continue into an unknown uncertain future.
