Synopsis "Go Vegan? Review of Science Part 1"

"Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are." - Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin. What Jean really wanted to say was: "Tell me how strong your resistance filter is, and I will tell you what you are." There is a known practice, where farmers are feeding cattle with a fish meal (cooked animal protein) to improve milk production and growth rate. If we have a belief that we are omnivore species because we can digest cooked animal protein, that will make us omnivorous as cattle. All herbivore species on this planet, not just grazers, have the ability to digest cooked animal protein. Real omnivores like bears that have a diet with 80 percent of calories coming from plant food sources and in winter hibernate because there is no vegetation, still like all of the other carnivore species have a sterile digestive tract with small colon and short transit time. They have a sterile digestive system (strong resistance filter) and a possibility to eat rotting meat with no issues because they have the acidity of pH 1 with food in their stomach. That will kill and dissolve everything, including bones. Energy value of rotting meat for them is the same as nice healthy pink in the middle one. Herbivores like us have an acidity of a pH 4 and low resistance filter. In real life conditions in Africa, meat spoils in 2 hours. Eating raw meat for us is an instant death sentence. It took over 60 million years to form our current body and physiology with all of our internal organs and metabolism with all of the enzymes designed for digestion. If you think that looking at paleo diet as a reference of the human condition is truthful you are wrong. From Neolithic Revolution again it all switched back to starch predominated diet everywhere in the world and still is in undeveloped parts of the globe. Industrial revolution shifted the balance of nature again and allowed us to eat animal products and refine foods whenever we like.In first part of the series I have analyzed all of the shifts and time periods in our evolution so that we could have a logical understanding what is evolutionary congruent diet with our own nature and how abrupt shifts in the way we live and eat can cause cascading of negative health implications known as chronic illnesses and diseases of affluence. I reviewed all available science behind diabetes, cancer, obesity, cardiovascular disease and all other maladaptations to our current habitat shaped by Industrial Revolution. Finding food in almost every environment is what made us adaptable and made as spread across the world but we use technology, and our bodies evolved in the time period counting in millions of years so the big question emerges: What are we adapted at eating, not what we can eat? In the last chapter I have analyzed all of the toxicity that exists in the current environment. Real problem is that If we abuse our body, it is already too late when we get the first signs of chronic diseases like heart disease or cancer. Animals including humans eat impulsively because the brain is a condition to do it for survival. Food had always been a scarce resource in nature. Today we have a never-ending stream of animal products that we are not evolutionarily adapted to eat and a never-ending stream of process foods that we are not evolutionarily adapted to eat at all. Food is not just the source of nutrients. It is a drug and the source of self-gratification. Is veganism the answer? Science is here, and the answers are here. The problem is that this information is deliberately kept out of the public even before the time when the McGovern Report was published. In part 2 of the series I will analyze all of the histories behind the food and drug cartel from the time of the Roman Republic. The goal of this book is not to promote any group or believe system. The goal is to analyze a broad spectrum of scientific studies and to do the objective review and to cover the entirety of the health issues that we are facing today.
