Synopsis "Griffith Bowman, Texas Ranger"
In the spirit and history of the Old West, beginning in 1850, comes a half-breed boy names Runs-To-Far stumbling out of the Texas desert in to El Paso pueblo. His tribe wiped out and village burned to ashes, he narrowly escapes the Cavalry's murderous raid to an open, barren landscape unfamiliar to him. Barely alive, Runs-To-Far is befriended by Silas Gibbons, a retired Ranger now-turned Livery Owner, and adopts him as his own. An inscribed pocket watch given to the boy by his Cherokee father, taken from the body of his white mothers' husband, gives him the white name of Griffith Bowman. These are the stories of Texas Ranger Griffith Bowman, and real-life personalities, friends and foes, of the period 1850 to 1914.
