In it I share my own journey with Christ as He led me on the path to freedom from crushing depression, overwhelming anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self-hatred, and addiction. Contained within this book are forty of the priceless lessons the Holy Spirit taught me as He walked with me on the road to deeper intimacy with Him. They are meant to be read one at a time - one a day for forty days. My prayer is that by the end of your forty-day journey toward freedom and greater intimacy with Jesus you will have a deep revelation of God's overwhelming love and a sense of purpose and joy that only comes from knowing Him through personal experience. God's great desire is that we know Him through encountering His Presence, not just by having knowledge about Him.In these pages I share many of my personal encounters with God, and how He took me from just knowing about Him to having a truly intimate and personal relationship with Him. As I have spent time in His Presence, He has restored me and set me free from the bondages of emotional pain and addiction. He has brought me out of the valley of the shadow of death and caused me to walk and live in His marvelous light. My hope is that as you read about the great work God has done in my life, you will know that He is willing and able to do the same for you. Each day's section starts with a Scripture God placed on my heart concerning that topic, and ends with a prayer for Him to reveal Himself to you in an intimate way. Through spending time in His Presence you will be transformed into the person He created you to be and walk in the deep levels of freedom Jesus won for you when He gave Himself for you on the Cross.
