Primus est Liber De Machinis Bellicis, in quo Heron describit multas machinas et instrumenta bellica, quae in bello adhiberi possunt. Hae machinae et instrumenta varia sunt, ut scorpion, balista, catapultae, et alia. Heron etiam docet, quomodo hae machinae construantur et adhibeantur. Secundus tractatus est Liber De Geodaesia, in quo Heron tractat de mensura terrae et aquarum. Heron explicat, quomodo mensurae fiant, quomodo terra et aquae mensurentur, et quomodo hae mensurationes adhibeantur in architectura.
