Andrea Sperelli è un nobile romano che risiede a Palazzo Zuccari a Roma. Il suo amore per Elena Muti, anch'essa nobile, conosciuta ad una festa mondana, è ormai finito, così Andrea, dopo la definitiva separazione da lei, si lascia andare ad incontri amorosi.
