Quality improvement is a concern of every industry. The importance of quality has been long recognized in the business environment in order to obtain high quality products. In a manufacturing environment, Quality improves reliability, Increase productivity and Customer satisfaction. Quality in manufacturing requires the practices of statistical process control (SPC).The present study is an attempt to check the performance of SPC technique in manufacturing industry in Ludhiana. Identify the degree of importance of different tool of SPC and identify the benefits achieved by implementation of SPC in manufacturing organization. It has been found that the manufacturing organization focusing on Control Chart for analysis a problem and inability to change organization culture is most important barrier in SPC. A thorough study of existing process revealed that the organization is facing the problem of rejection in Arm Chain Tensioner due to wearing of locating plate in manufacturing organization, New Swan Enterprises, Ludhiana. Analysis the problem with control chart. Keeping in view, changing the locating plate result in a reduction of rejection rate from 5% to .51%.
