Synopsis "In The Still Of The Night"

Beth Andrews, waitress, struggling to make ends meet, finds her life in turmoil when she is kidnapped, taken to a ranch and held hostage, by one David McGalister, the third, who needs a wife to keep his land, thanks to a stipulation in his father's will. David had only meant to hold Beth hostage long enough to convince her to marry him by showing her what he had to offer, in exchange for her hand in marriage, but she refused his proposal. . Attempting to escape, Beth falls, hitting her head, causing a memory loss. Lies, deceit and half truths fill the following days, as David leads Beth to believe that they are madly in love and had planned to marry before the unfortunate accident, but, David's plan hadn't included actually falling in love with Beth. Will he tell her of his deceit and chance losing her, or marry her and hope that she will understand should her memory ever return?
