AKAD Fachhochschule Stuttgart, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Organisationssoziologen haben im Laufe der Jahre diverse Organisationstheorien entwickelt. Eine Organisationstheorie mit besonderem Stellenwert ist der soziologische Neo-Institutionalismus. Dieser grenzt sich deutlich von den "klassischen Organisationstheorien" ab, da das institutionalisierte Umfeld eine entscheidende Rolle spielt. Neo-Institutionalisten vertreten nicht die klassische Organisationstheorie, dass formale Organisationsstrukturen eine effiziente Strategie zur Erreichung der Organisationsziele verfolgen. Für sie spiegeln Regeln und Erwartungen der Umwelt die formale Organisationsstruktur wider. In den nachfolgenden Kapiteln werden zunächst einige für diese Arbeit wichtige Begriffe erklärt, um danach die wichtigsten Thesen des Neo-Institutionalismus zu erläutern. Dabei wird ebenfalls der Unterschied zwischen Makroinstitutionalismus und Mikroinstitutionalismus verdeutlicht.
