Synopsis "Jacqueline's Secret"
Alan and Jacqueline are separated by the English Channel. Who would know that their worlds would become entwined? After a telegram arrives in June 1940, Alan's family are thrown into mourning. The family try to come to terms with their loss, but are offered hope when Jack, a soldier from Alan's regiment, contacts them and tells them the truth of what happened to their son in France. Across the Channel, we follow Jacqueline, a young schoolteacher, and her family as they struggle to live in occupied France. After his fiancée and her family are taken by the Gestapo, Jacqueline's brother, Philippe, joins the resistance. Jacqueline's family play a secret part in the resistance, aiding Philippe as he climbs the ranks. After some time and a considerable loss to the family, Jacqueline also joins the resistance and leaves her family behind. Through many ups and downs and Jacqueline's secret, these two families live through the war. What will become of Jacqueline and Alan as they both fight against German oppression? Where will it all end, and who will be left to pick up the pieces?
